Academic and Recreational Dive Center

The OSU Academic and Recreational Dive Center exists to certify and train those that wish to pursue SCUBA both in a professional and recreational capacity and provide the resources and tools to practice SCUBA diving.

Adventure Leadership Institute™ are educators who develop and change students using experience as our textbook and the outdoors as our classroom.

Backwood Beavs - OSU Country Western Dance Performance Team

The Country Western Dance Performance Team, otherwise known as the Backwood Beavs, is an audition group that showcases country western routines across Oregon that combine advanced line and partner dancing. The mission of this team is to foster enjoyment, learning, and inspiration in the student body and community, as well as confidence and mastery in its members, through the exhibition, teaching, and celebration of Oregon State University’s unique, regional art-form of country western dance.

 

OSU Ballroom Dance Club

The Ballroom Dance Club is a student-run club with a goal to provide dancing and learning opportunities to OSU member and the Corvallis community. Anyone is welcome at our events, including non-university members.

 

Cool Shoes Dance Team

Cool Shoes is a ballroom dance team at Oregon State University. It is filled with students studying a diverse selection of majors, but share a common love for dance.

 

OSU Country Western Dance Club

We are the Country Western Dance Club! Our mission is to provide a fun and welcoming atmosphere for all who want to learn country western dance. Whether it be Swing, Two-Step, Cha-Cha, Schottische, the Waltz, or Line Dancing, we love to dance it all!

 

OSU DanceSport Team

The OSU DanceSport Team is an autonomous student organization officially sponsored by the Oregon State University PAC Department. We travel and compete nationally in ballroom dance competitions against the finest collegiate DanceSport teams in the nation. 

 

Elite Dance Team

Elite Dance Team is a student-run dance team at OSU with a focus on dance technique and performance, as well as each member's academic success, practice is held twice to three times per week. We perform at various events around campus throughout the year and some events in the Portland and/or Eugene area. Our dance styles include jazz, hip-hop, and occasionally contemporary. Members can expect to meet fellow dancers who share a passion for dance, as well as a deep love for performing. Our team is a close-knit dance family that supports each other while continuing to work together to achieve a collegiate level of dance technique and performance.

 

Faculty Staff Fitness

Faculty Staff Fitness offers a variety of health and wellness topic programming to faculty, staff, retirees, graduate students, and their partners and spouses.

 

HHS 231 - Lifetime Fitness for Health

Designed to facilitate the development of positive health behaviors in physical activity and nutrition, HHS 231 will teach you self-awareness and strategies to initiate these behaviors and creates the foundation for healthy habits you can continue to develop throughout your time at OSU.

 

IMPACT

IMPACT is a unique program in that it offers physical activity opportunities for individuals with disabilities while at the same time it provides essential experiences for students at OSU to learn about working with special populations.

KidSpirit strives to serve as a leader in providing young people with intentional, high quality, equitable learning experiences that promote positive interactions among adults and peers.

 

SickTown Derby Dames

The mission of the Roller Derby Club is to promote fitness and wellness through roller skating and roller skating sports, particularly roller derby. To support leadership and collaboration in advocating for roller sports and related activities in a safe and welcoming environment.

 

OSU Swing Club

OSU Swing Club is a student-run organization bringing Lindy hop social dancing to OSU. The club is open to all student who are interest in learning or practicing lindy hop, regardless of their level of experience. Our dance susualy start with an hour beginning lesson and are followed by an open social dance. No partner is needed for participation. Come join us and let's swing out together!

 

OSU West Coast Swing Club

The OSU West Coast Swing Club believes that people can improve their lives through both social and competitive dancing. It doesn't matter if you think you can't dance, because with enough time, patience, and friends to help you, anyone can be good enough at dancing to enjoy it with their friends. We encourage everyone to try their best and have fun. This is dancing after all!
