Physical Activity Course (PAC) Program
Pricing and procedural changes have been made effective for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

We understand that cost can often be a barrier to students taking PAC.
To reduce the cost, encourage you to try new things and continue with activities you love or just stay active, PAC Non-Credit costs less compared to undergraduate resident base tuition + specialty course-specific fees.
Cost for both resident and non-resident students
- 1-credit course is $175 ($140 Summer term)
- 2-credit course is $245 ($196 Summer term)
With this option, we intend to provide continued opportunities for you to learn new skills and stay physically active while at Oregon State.

Registration
Registration for PAC Non-Credit is available to all currently enrolled OSU Undergraduate and Graduate Students.
Use the links below to view and register for available courses in each activity area. You will need to use your ONID email/password to access the registration site.
Use the “Class Sections” tab to see which courses are available. If a section has reached max capacity for PAC Non-Credit registrations, it will no longer show as an option in our Non-Credit registration system.

Non-credit registration deadlines
Monday Week 8
Non-credit registration and waitlisting opens for all students regardless of class-standing for 10-week, 5A and 5B term classes. Non-credit enrollment limited to 10 seats per course section.
1 week prior to Day 1
10 seat enrollment limit lifted, students on non-credit waitlist will be allowed to register after for-credit waitlist is empty
Sunday of Week 1
Last day to register for 10-week and 5A term classes without an override.
Monday of Week 2
Override required to register for 10-week and 5A term classes.
Sunday of Week 2
Last day to register for 10-week and 5A term classes.
Sunday of Week 6
Last day to register for 5B term classes.

You’ll get the same course experience as For-Credit students, which focuses on high faculty-to-student interaction and experiential student-focused learning, from all PAC. Non-Credit students are strongly encouraged to participate fully in the course, including regular attendance and digital learning activities. Non-Credit students are upheld to the same prerequisites as For-Credit students.

Non-Credit students are strongly encouraged to participate fully in the course, including regular attendance and digital learning activities. Agreement with the following statements is part of Non-Credit Registration:
- Because of the progressive nature of instructional physical activity courses, if my lack of attendance or participation during the term impacts my ability to safely engage and participate in the course at any point during the term, I may be asked to sit and observe the course until I am able to safely and fully participate in the course.
- Additionally, I will participate in a manner consistent to OSU’s Core Values of: Accountability, Diversity, Integrity, Respect, and Social Responsibility. If at any time I disregard or break one of the core values I may be asked to leave and not return to the class.
- Each course may have additional rules or policies that students must follow, it is expected that students both for-credit and non-credit will adhere to individual instructor expectations as detailed in the syllabus.
PAC Non-Credit
For both resident and non-resident students
- $175 for one credit course ($140 in Summer)
- $245 for two credit course ($196 in Summer)

PAC For-Credit
$375 undergraduate resident base tuition + $49 PEA2 PAC fee (+ specialty course specific fees)
When you register for PAC Non-Credit you will be prompted to enter your payment information - credit or debit card. Direct billing to student accounts is not available at this time.
Yes, you need to fill our PAC Override Request Form. Your request will be sent to the instructor for approval. If approved you will receive an email from [email protected] instructing you on how to register.
Students cannot be registered for the class for-credit or non-credit and also be on the for-credit or non-credit waitlist.
Before Sunday of Week 1 for 10-week and 5A courses
If the course is not full, register through the links above, then drop your for-credit registration through the OSU Registrar on your BeaverHub account.
If the course is full, drop your for-credit registration through the OSU Registrar on your BeaverHub account and then add yourself to the non-credit waitlist using the registration links above.
Students on the non-credit waitlist will be allowed to register after the for-credit waitlist is empty.
After Monday of Week 2 for 10-week courses
Drop the course through the OSU Registrar on your BeaverHub account, you’ll be subject to the Registrar’s tuition refund schedule at the time you withdraw from the course. Then submit a PAC Non-credit Override Request form for a non-credit Late add override.

If the course is full, drop your for-credit registration through the OSU Registrar on your BeaverHub account and then add yourself to the non-credit waitlist using the registration links above.
