Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) are the only food and nutrition experts who have the education, expertise, and skills to work in a variety of settings. OSU offers both the coursework and internship requirements to be eligible to sit for the exam to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
Graduates of the OSU dietetics programs currently work in hospitals, outpatient clinics, school districts, not-for-profits, universities, community colleges, long-term care, primary care, WIC, grocery stores, eating disorder facilities, and more.

Chart your path
- Complete the BS in Nutrition-Dietetics option (the only accredited undergraduate Didactic Program in Dietetics in Oregon)
- Enter the Master of Science in Nutrition-Professional Dietetics option (accredited combined graduate degree/dietetic internship program)*
-OR-
If you have previously completed a graduate degree enter the Dietetic Internship (accredited post-baccalaureate internship program) - Pass the national Registration Exam for Dietitians*
*Starting January 1, 2024, a minimum of a Master’s degree will be required to be eligible for the exam.
