Advance your dietetics practice with a master’s degree

A master’s degree in nutrition was once considered optional for registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs). Now it’s a requirement for entering the profession.

Oregon State’s MS in Nutrition - Advanced Dietetics program helps you grow as a nutrition professional and strengthen your credibility.

Through advanced coursework in medical nutrition therapy, public health and applied research skills, you’ll expand your ability to translate nutrition science into practice and enhance the care you provide to patients, clients and communities.

The online advanced dietetics degree program is ideal for:

  • Current RDNs who want to upskill with a master’s degree but do not need to complete a dietetic internship
  • Students who plan to complete an ACEND-accredited dietetic internship close to home or in a setting of their choice

Eligibility

Eligibility requires either current RD/RDN certification or a verification statement from an accredited didactic program in dietetics (DPD program).
