What inspired or interested you about your field of study? And why did you choose OSU/the college?

Learning about public health in high school sparked my interest in serving my community in an impactful way. I chose OSU for its strong public health program and outstanding Ecampus option.

What are you doing in your internship and/or what is your main project?

I am working on a project to educate local healthcare providers about WIC services to help recruit eligible patients as potential clients. I also focus on breastfeeding promotion, available services and ways providers can implement breastfeeding support in their practice with assistance from WIC.

What do you see as the greatest value of your internship?

Seeing how a government-funded agency operates has provided a real-world application of my education. I am also gaining a deeper understanding of the value of community partnerships to strengthen and expand the reach of services and resources.

What do you think of your experience at OSU/in the college so far? Any stand-out experiences?

OSU, and Ecampus especially, has amazing faculty and staff who are dedicated to student success. Ecampus success coaching has been one of the most valuable resources in helping me complete my degree.
