Research

Publications

Check out the recent publications from researchers across the college over the past month. See if you can guess the researcher(s) based solely on publication titles:

What happens when fish (and by extension, potentially people) are exposed to two common environmental pollutants at the same time — arsenic and methylmercury — rather than just one?

Does having young people with chronic illnesses tell their own stories help them feel better and manage their conditions more effectively?

Do regulatory inspections with penalties significantly reduce the likelihood of worker injuries?

Public health is built on equity, community engagement, and shared responsibility. How do we ensure our mentorship systems reflect these values instead of working against them?

Can giving kids a pile of "junk" to play with at recess improve participation for everyone, and can schools actually make it happen long-term?

While researchers know a lot about how teens and young adults can be civically engaged in the real world, such as by volunteering, voting and attending community meetings, what are good tools to measure the equivalent behavior online?

Are illegal e-cigarettes designed to look like toys and cute drinks being promoted on Instagram in ways that could attract kids?

Has the FDA been approving new drugs based on weaker evidence since a major 2017 law made it easier to do so?
