Public health doctoral student named fellow in national behavioral medicine leadership institute
Congratulations to Geethika Koneru, a PhD student in public health - health promotion and health behavior, who was selected as a fellow for the Monica Baskin Diversity Institute for Emerging Leaders. This yearlong, competitive training develops leaders in behavioral medicine.
Geethika also co-authored a new piece on the Society of Behavioral Medicine’s Healthy Living blog titled Living a Meaningful Life: Why Becoming a Mentor is a Great Start.
She recently served as a board member of the Society’s Student Special Interest Group and is grateful her service was recognized, opening doors to new leadership and science communication opportunities.
