Early Learning Workforce
Oregon’s early learning workforce plays a critical role in promoting the well-being of Oregon’s young children.
Key Findings
Approximately 24,000 persons made up the early learning workforce in 2022, those who work directly with young children and their families in regulated child care facilities. About three-quarters of the workforce is employed in centers with the rest in large and small home-based programs.
