The College of Health offers several different minors and certificate programs, on the Corvallis campus, OSU-Cascades and online via Ecampus.

A health minor will give you unique skills and perspectives on how to ensure health and well-being for all — in any future career.

How to declare a minor or certificate

Read the information provided on the following pages.
For Corvallis and Ecampus, fill out the Change of Program request form.
For OSU-Cascades, follow instructions on the OSU-Cascades website.

You do not need to see an advisor to declare a minor, but are certainly welcome to.

Undergraduate Certificate in Aging Studies

Aging Studies certificate

Learn how to serve and support people who are aging and enhance your employability in the process, by earning an undergraduate certificate in aging studies.

Community nutrition

The community nutrition undergrad minor prepares you to understand and assess food and nutrition programs, policies and resources through a lens of equity and cultural humility.

Early Childhood Development and Education

If you enjoy working with children, families, schools and communities, and want to see children progress in development in positive environments, then our Early Childhood Development and Education Minor may be for you.

Environmental and occupational health

The EOH undergrad minor studies the impact of environmental and occupational hazards on human health. No matter which major program you’re enrolled in, the environmental and occupational health minor will enhance your undergraduate studies.

Exercise physiology

The exercise physiology undergrad minor is an excellent addition for students interested in incorporating fitness/wellness into their major, or for those who love to exercise and be active and just want to understand more about how the body responds.

Human development and family sciences

With the HDFS undergrad minor you will learn how people change across the life course within the contexts of families, schools and communities.

This minor pairs well with other academic degrees such as education, public health, psychology, sociology and allied health sciences.
