Associate Dean for Research
Perry provides leadership, direction, and administrative oversight for all matters related to research in the college. He ensures the availability of opportunities and infrastructure to maximize the research potential of faculty and students, and promotes faculty collaborative efforts with other Colleges, OSU administrators, and external organizations to enhance interdisciplinary research and visibility of the college. He represents the college on numerous university committees, including the Associate Deans’ Advisory Council to the Vice President for Research and the NIH Strategy Working Group.
Catherine J. Clevinger, MPH, CRA
Pre-Award Research Director
Catherine leads pre-award activities and serves as the primary information and operations resource for principal investigators (PIs) in the development and submission of research applications. She also assists with JIT activities and backs up the Health Sciences Business Center (HSBC) to provide researchers with “cradle-to-grave” sponsored research support. She ensures compliance with requirements of agency program announcements; coordinates the preparation, routing, and submission of proposals; and assists with monitoring the financial performance of grants and contracts to ensure compliance with OSU and sponsor policies and consistency with the proposed award budget. Catherine works closely with the Cross-College Collaborative Research Group, the Office for Sponsored Research and Award Administration (OSRAA), and external research administrators to foster effective communication and resolve issues.
