Overview of IRB exemptions and the exemption process

The CPHHS and the Research Office sponsored an update and discussion on the new processes in the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) and the most common exemption categories used at OSU. The forum was led by Bridget Watson, Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) Administrator for the OSU Research Office, and Adeline Oka, HRPP Analyst.

The CPHHS and the Research Office sponsored an update and discussion on the transition of Research Conflicts of Interest (RCOI) and Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) software systems to Cayuse. The forum was led by Dr. Chris Viggiani, Associate Vice President for Research Integrity, and Bridget Watson, Human Research Protection Program (HRPP).

Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) and Secure cloud resources

November 12, 2021

CPHHS & CLA sponsored an update and discussion on the availability of Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) and Secure Cloud resources to allow the use of protected health information (PHI) on campus by OSU researchers. This forum was led by Denise Hynes, professor and program director of the Center for Quantitative Life Sciences' (CQLS) Health Data & Informatics Program, and Matthew Peterson, who manages CQLS' deployment deployment of REDCap.

NIH Biosketch Workshop

Recent changes and improvements within the Office for Sponsored Research and Award Administration (OSRAA) and the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) were discussed.
