Early Learning System Initiative

Hallie E. Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families

The Early Learning System Initiative works with partners across the state to develop a training and technical assistance plan to expand access to high-quality, professional development opportunities that are aligned with early educator competencies and emphasize attention to cultural and linguistic responsiveness.

In response to feedback from the early childhood workforce, new trainings will be developed that strengthen and align with those that already exist in Oregon.

The initiative is also creating a plan to facilitate the adoption and revision of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) early educator competencies in consultation with system stakeholders, equity leaders and early educators.
