Healthy Eating and Active Living Research Core

We translate research into programs for children and families, and professional development for practitioners because evidence-based programs and practice matters.

Evidence-based practice is a process that brings together the best available research, professional expertise, and input from youth and families to identify and deliver services that have been demonstrated to achieve positive outcomes for youth, families, and communities. Evidence-based programs and practices (EBPPs) are specific techniques and intervention models that have shown to have positive effects on outcomes through rigorous evaluations.
