Early Learning System Initiative

ELSI is working to facilitate the adoption of the NAEYC early educator competencies in consultation with system stakeholders, equity leaders and early educators.
Supportive Environmental Quality Underlying Adult Learning (SEQUAL) is a survey developed and administered by the Center for the Study of Child Care Employment (CSCCE) in partnership with the Oregon Early Learning Division.
The SEQUAL survey gathers early educators’ perspectives on workplace conditions, with the goal of supporting educator well-being and teaching and caregiving practices in center-and home-based programs.
ELSI will work with early educators and community partners to translate results from the SEQUAL survey and create recommendations for professional learning to promote educator well-being.
