 The College of Health and Oregon State University provide students with access to comprehensive physical health resources including fitness and recreation programs, nutrition counseling, preventive healthcare services, and wellness support designed to help you thrive during your college experience.

These resources are designed to help students maintain healthy lifestyles, prevent illness, manage chronic conditions, and optimize their physical health to support academic performance and personal development throughout their time at Oregon State University.

Physical Activity Course (PAC) Program

Physical Activity Courses provide an interactive and engaging experience that allows student to learn through active participation in a variety of physical activities. Recognizing individual interests and abilities, the program provides courses that cater to all levels and abilities.

Being active

Recreational Sports offers engaging activities for all physical and ability levels including Adventure Leadership Institute classes with multiple climbing centers and outdoor equipment rental, over 35 weekly fitness classes in yoga, dance, cycle, and strength, and personalized training with DAM-Fit group sessions. Choose from 50+ intramural leagues, tournaments, and esports each year including adaptive sports, join one of 40 student-run sport clubs that meet to develop skills and compete locally or nationally, or enroll in Physical Activity Courses covering interests like bowling, weight training, and hip-hop.

Food at OSU

Discover diverse dining across campus at over 30 restaurants, cafes and markets in locations like Memorial Union, Arnold Dining, Marketplace West, and McNary Dining. Order robot delivery to any outdoor campus location or place mobile orders for pickup. All restaurant webpages include nutrition calculators to filter for allergens and dietary practices like vegan or Halal.

Health and Well-being

Explore comprehensive tools and resources to support your physical and emotional health while at OSU. Access 24/7 mental health support through the Anytime Anywhere app, basic needs assistance including food pantry and SNAP application help, and wellness services including counseling, fitness programs, and mindfulness classes through CAPS and Recreational Sports.

Prevention and wellness

Student Health Services offers unlimited one-on-one nutrition counseling at no charge with registered dietitians using a non-diet, weight-neutral approach focused on well-being and body inclusivity. Access free nicotine treatment services including gum or patches paired with cessation support, alcohol and drug prevention education, and comprehensive sexual health resources through CAPE.

Sexual & Reproductive Health

Student Health Services provides comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care including all types of birth control, STI testing (self-requested or by appointment), HIV prevention through PrEP and PEP, and gynecologic care. Access free contraceptives through the CCare program, order free safer sex supplies delivered to your door via Dam Delivery, or pick up supplies at Safer Sex Spots around campus.

Student Health Services

Comprehensive primary health care, disease prevention, and treatment services provided by caring professionals dedicated to student wellness at locations across campus including the Health Center (850 SW 26th St.) and Rapid Care at Tebeau Hall. Schedule appointments by calling 541-737-9355 or through the patient portal for services including primary care, mental health, immunizations, sexual health, nutrition counseling, and more.

Center for Advocacy, Prevention & Education (CAPE)

CAPE cultivates a survivor-centered, trauma-informed culture of consent through free, confidential advocacy services for survivors of sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, stalking, harassment, or bullying. Access comprehensive sexual health education, free safer sex supplies through Dam Delivery and Safer Sex Spots, gender-based violence prevention workshops, and 24/7 support by calling 541-737-2030.

Wellness Coaching

Free one-on-one wellness coaching sessions with peer coaches help you explore goals, build healthy habits, and create personalized plans for stress management, time management, sleep, nutrition, physical activity, and social connection. All OSU students are welcome to schedule confidential in-person or virtual appointments to reflect on strengths, set meaningful goals, and take steps toward sustainable positive change.
