Disability Access Resources

Office of Student Success

Accommodations, education, consultation and advocacy

The College of Health connects students with Disability Access Services (DAS), Oregon State University's central resource for disability accommodations and support.

DAS offers a comprehensive range of services including alternative testing arrangements, professional notetaking support, accessible format conversion, interpreting services, assistive technology access, priority registration privileges and specialized housing accommodations.

Get started by submitting a DAS application with documentation, completing the mandatory orientation and requesting accommodations each term through the DAS Student Portal.

Additional resources include the annually updated Student Handbook, step-by-step video tutorials, and drop-in Zoom advising sessions Monday through Friday.

DAS serves all OSU students including those at OSU-Cascades and Ecampus, ensuring equitable access to education and campus resources.

Getting Started with DAS

The DAS Getting Started page walks you through the application process: apply to OSU, submit a DAS application with documentation, complete a mandatory orientation, and request accommodations each term. DAS recommends applying immediately after admission to OSU.

DAS Student Handbook

Updated annually, the DAS Student Handbook is your comprehensive guide to rights, responsibilities and accommodation procedures at OSU.

Review this handbook thoroughly to understand how to obtain and maintain your accommodations.

DAS Student Portal

The DAS Student Portal (also called DAS Student Online Services) is your central hub for managing all your disability accommodations at OSU.

During your DAS orientation, you'll learn how to navigate the portal and request accommodations.

DAS Tutorials

DAS Tutorials provide step-by-step video instructions for using DAS services and systems.

Topics include logging into your DAS account, requesting accommodations, reviewing documentation, scheduling exams, canceling or changing exams, downloading class transcripts, and using assistive technology like Kurzweil 3000.

These self-service tutorials help you navigate DAS Online Services efficiently and understand notetaking options including Glean, LiveScribe Smartpen, peer-to-peer notetaking, and real-time transcribing.

DAS Drop-in Zoom Room
