Study Abroad
College of Health
Travel, learn and earn college credit.
Taking on the world’s health challenges can’t wait.
That’s why students in the College of Health regularly take advantage of studying abroad, via the Office of Global Opportunities (OSU GO). This office offers rich and diverse opportunities for you to travel, learn and earn credits. You may choose an international experience applicable to any COH program of study by earning bacc core or elective credits, or you may choose a specific experience related to your major.
Notice Study abroad programming options are dependent on current university and international travel policies. Please refer to Global Opportunities and COVID-19 FAQ’s for the most up to date information on travel restrictions and program availability.
How to get started
- Review the different types of study abroad programs offered below and decide which program is the best fit for your goals.
- Follow the steps on the OSU GO Getting Started page to create an OSU GO account. Information is also available on how to access advising materials about studying abroad, connect with OSU GO staff, and submit your application.
- Schedule an appointment to talk with your College of Health academic advisor. It is important to discuss how credits from study abroad will fit into your major and your degree progress and planning.
- Start researching financial and scholarship information for your experience abroad. You can often use your financial aid to help cover costs and are encouraged to start exploring education abroad scholarships.
- Review the travel resources available to you as an OSU student. Examples include information on obtaining passports and travel documents, as well as a full service Travel Clinic with Student Health Services.
Types of international experiences
OSU faculty led study tours
Faculty-led study tours are unique experiences arranged by faculty or schools in the College of Health. They vary in length from two weeks to a full academic quarter. In faculty-led programs, you will travel with a small group of OSU peers and an OSU faculty member. This is a great way to immerse yourself in your chosen field of study and get to know others in the College of Health.
Current faculty led programs
