MPH Program Handbooks

Master of Public Health Program

The official handbook for Oregon State University's Master of Public Health (MPH) program is a complete guide for all students. This guide is for students in all seven areas of study.

The handbook provides all the key information you need to successfully complete your degree, such as:

  • Degree Requirements: Information on required courses, an internship and a final project or exam.
  • Academic Policies: Details on grades, transferring credits from other programs and academic reviews.
  • Student Support: Contact information for faculty and staff, and resources like student services and grievance procedures.
  • Planning Tools: Guidance on creating your study plan and assessment forms.

The goal of this guide is to make sure you understand all the requirements for your MPH degree so you can succeed in your academic and professional life in public health.

Please note

Students are required to complete the curriculum in their specific option and cohort handbook. With guidance from their advisor, they may alternatively choose to follow the handbook for a subsequent cohort.

For example, MPH-Epidemiology students who started in 2022-2023 will find their required coursework in the 2022-2023 MPH Epidemiology Handbook. They could also elect to follow the 2025-2026 MPH Epidemiology Handbook.
