Air Quality Flag Program

The Air Quality Flag Program fact sheet explains how communities, schools, and organizations can implement a flag system corresponding to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Air Quality Index (AQI) to visually communicate daily air quality conditions. The flag program helps people take precautions and modify their outdoor activities as needed to reduce their exposure to air pollution, especially during poor air quality days. Users can sign up for AQI forecasts and notifications to know which flag color to fly each day.
