The social change for health minor explores how social, economic and political factors shape health outcomes and how you can help create a more just and equitable system.
You’ll learn to design and evaluate programs and policies that improve lives, reduce health disparities and support healthier, more inclusive communities.
It’s a great fit if you're interested in health equity, advocacy, community engagement or systems-level change.
The social change for health minor aligns well with the following degree programs:

It's available on campus in Corvallis and online through Oregon State Ecampus.
Requirements
To earn the social change for health undergrad minor, you must meet the eligibility requirements and complete the required courses.
Eligibility requirements
All majors may add the social change for health minor.
- Have a minimum OSU GPA of 2.0
- All courses must be taken for a letter (A-F) grade
- No more than two attempts at any course or pre-requisite
- Have a minimum C- grade in any course or pre-requisite
