Why did you choose OSU for your Public Health graduate degree?
I did my undergraduate degree at OSU! I really liked the community feel of Corvallis and how OSU had many student resources. It made for an easier transition into grad school.
What is your favorite course you have taken so far?
HHS 524 Public Health Solutions.
Most memorable experience in the program?
Completing my internship, as well as continuing to grow as a professional through networking and creating lasting relationships with my peers.
What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a graduate degree in Public Health?
Really think about what interests you—if it's public health, what part about it? When deciding a discipline, it might be helpful to brainstorm what jobs you might want after graduating or what topics are most interesting to you. Having the driving force of passion and interest will help you succeed!
If you were to recommend the MPH to a close friend, what would you say?
If you have a passion and interest in pursuing a public health degree, your time during the program will also be based on your attitude and time management skills. Keep an open mind and make the most of it; grad school is an awesome opportunity!
