Why did you choose OSU for your Public Health graduate degree?
I was offered a scholarship and had close ties to the Center for Health Innovation.
What is your favorite course you have taken so far?
Behavior and Social Science Theory for Public Health.
Most memorable experience in the program?
I was working on my final program plan really late at the library the evening it was due. One of my closest friends came to my rescue to bring me food and read over my program plan before I submitted it. It's been my experience that the students in public health go above and beyond to help other students.
What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a graduate degree in Public Health?
DO IT! After a year in the program, I already feel like I have developed such a strong skill set to jumpstart success outside of school.
If you were to recommend the MPH or Public Health PhD program to a close friend, what would you say?
The faculty within the MPH program are amazing; they have been supportive of my desire to be a part of their research and explore my own public health topics of interest.
Is there anything else that you would like to comment on or say about the OSU Public Health graduate programs?
Being a part of the OSU Public Health graduate program has been one of the best experiences of my life. I've not only enjoyed the process of furthering my education but also made so many friends and built what will probably be lifelong professional relationships.
