Master of Public Health Degree Program
Choose the MPH degree online or from six in-person public health degree options.
MPH Online – Public health practice
Oregon State’s online MPH program prepares you to take on leadership roles informing public health action. With an emphasis on public health systems, policy and prevention intervention, you can look forward to jobs centered around program management and implementation in public health or allied health settings.
Biostatistics
If you enjoy applying math to real-world problems, the MPH in biostatistics is for you. Biostatistics, the basis of all public health and medical research, uses statistics to understand public health and health care challenges.
Environmental and occupational health
Explore the impact of environmental and occupational hazards on human health and society, and develop effective interventions to control and prevent exposure to hazards.
Epidemiology
With an MPH in epidemiology, you'll investigate why and how diseases and injuries occur in different groups of people, or how to best prepare for and reduce the impact on human health.
Global health
Global public health professionals take on communities’ most pressing health challenges, work hand in hand with underrepresented populations and strive to alleviate health disparities around the world.
Health promotion and health behavior
The health promotion and health behavior master’s degree will prepare you to understand the social and behavioral influences at play in various communities, especially those with health disparities.
Health systems and policy
In the health systems and policy master's degree option, you’ll learn analytic tools for understanding the complex effects policy has on health, health care markets and the community, as well as how to effectively implement policy change.

Applying to the Oregon State MPH Program
Applications are reviewed on Dec 1 (Priority), March 1 and June 1 (Final).
The GRE is not required. We have eliminated this structural barrier to promote a more equitable, diverse and inclusive student body.
All admitted students will begin the MPH program fall term each year.

Affordability
Your graduate public health education is an investment in your future. We understand you must weigh the cost and benefits of your graduate education.
OSU’s MPH options are among the most reasonably priced in the Pacific Northwest.
We have reduced the tuition cost by nearly $4,000 to help address affordability and reduce barriers to access.
The Oregon State MPH participates in the Western Regional Graduate Program. You may be eligible to save about $8,000 in tuition over the course of the program.
