Translational Metabolism Research Laboratory

Interested in our metabolic research studies?

We are not presently recruiting individuals to participate in ongoing metabolic research investigations.

However, we encourage you to check back in the future for more opportunities to get involved.

Because our research is focused on improving metabolic health, participation in our studies often serves as a great way to jump-start a lifestyle transition.

Additionally, most studies involve diagnostic procedures that provide health-related information and monetary compensation.

Ongoing clinical research study

We are currently testing the ability of a medication to improve blood sugar metabolism among individuals at risk for type 2 diabetes.

We are no longer recruiting participants at this time and will be sure to share the results of this study as soon as possible.

We thank the participants for the time and effort to help us find new ways to improve metabolic health. We also thank our collaborators at Samaritan Health Services and the NIH for funding the project.

Clinical research facilities

TMRL research studies are conducted at the Samaritan Athletic Medicine (SAM) Center, conveniently located on the campus of Oregon State University in Corvallis.

The SAM offers state-of-the-art facilities and a friendly, highly-trained medical support staff. Parking is always available and free of charge.

Get directions to The SAM.
