Stretch and Strengthen: Reaching New Heights for Children, Parents, Families and Communities through Parenting Education

Estirar y Fortalecer: Alcanzando nuevas alturas para niños, padres, familias y comunidades a través de la educación para padres

Conference Goal

Join other parenting educators and family support professionals for professional development, networking, and restoration. Our annual conference hosts practical and inspirational sessions that will enhance your work with parents and families. Learn from national speakers and authors, local colleagues, and researchers.

This year’s conference, STRETCH & STRENGTHEN: Reaching New Heights for Children, Parents, Families & Communities through Parenting Education, will inspire participants to stretch into new areas of learning through a variety of new topics, and strengthen their practice in deep-dive workshops.

Conference Info

The in-person 2024 Oregon Parenting Conference will take place at the CH2M HILL Alumni Center (725 SW 26th StreetCorvallis, OR 97331) on April 29th and 30th, 2024. Read about the travel and parking on our Registration page. Read about the schedule on our schedule page.

The virtual 2024 conference will take place on Zoom/Whova on May 7-9th, 2024.

Both formats will offer English and Spanish workshops and Spanish interpretation of keynote speakers and select sessions. Across both conferences, the general topics, language access options, and keynote speakers are the same. Specific breakout sessions may differ to meet the unique needs and opportunities of the in-person or virtual formats. Because of this, we encourage registration for only one format of the conference (either in-person or virtual).

Who attends the conference? Parenting education and family support professionals including group facilitators, home visitors, early intervention specialists, family resource coordinators, K-12 educators, behavioral and mental health providers, and family advocates of all kinds.

OPEC aims to create a space that is welcoming and inclusive, where all people are valued for their identities, including for their gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, religion, abilities, and lived experiences.
