Why did you choose Oregon State for your MPH?

I chose OSU’s online MPH Public Health Practice program because of the diversity in the course schedule allowing a broad and all-encompassing education into public health.

            What is your favorite course taken in  the MPH so far?

I have received a plethora of knowledge through many wonderful courses. I enjoyed the Integrated Approach courses, Biostatistics, Healthcare Epidemiology and Health Promotion and Evaluation.I have received a plethora of knowledge through many wonderful courses. Most memorable experience in the program?

I am grateful for the meetings with my advisor, all of them have been memorable experiences. She has been instrumental to my education in many ways. I appreciate her intellect and care as she helps me navigate through the program.

What advice would you give someone thinking about getting their MPH?

My advice is to go for it! It can be daunting applying for graduate school and imposter syndrome is real. However, it’s a matter of taking it one day at a time and aiming for the stars, knowing you can do this!

If you were to recommend the MPH to your best friend, what would you say?

I highly recommend the MPH program. There is great variety and variability in achieving skills that you desire to bring to your new public health career. You will gain significant knowledge and insight.

Is there anything else that you would like to comment on or say about the Oregon State MPH?

The culture of OSU and the professors within the MPH program are caring, intelligent, and rooting for your success!
