What inspired or interested you about your field of study? And why did you choose OSU/the college?

I was inspired to pursue public health-health promotion and health behavior to make a difference in people's lives and promote health and wellness across the community while reaching a diverse set of individuals and families. I chose OSU for its relentless dedication to academic research and students, and its renowned public health program.

What are you doing in your internship and/or what is your main project?

I am developing Personal Protection Equipment(PPE) standards through a variety of media deliverables. I have been conducting PPE hazard assessments to evaluate tasks and select PPE appropriately ensuring the health and safety of the workers.

What do you see as the greatest value of your internship?Or, what have you learned the most in your internship?

I see the greatest value being how I have been integrated into a professional work setting in a very smooth transition. Networking and consulting with current employees has been very beneficial, as well as conducting PPE hazard assessments.

What are your post-college dreams/plans?

My post-college plans are to move and pursue an environmental health and safety position in southern California and experience something new with my partner.

What do you think of your experience at OSU and in the college? Any stand-out experiences

OSU has been an experience I will always value and cherish. There were ups and downs of course, but the support system of faculty and staff made the experience very smooth. I also met the most wonderful people during my time here and cultivated lifelong friendships.
