Brianne Wai

Doctoral student awarded OSLER TL1 fellowship to advance infant health research

Congratulations to nutrition doctoral student Brianne Wai, who was awarded an OSLER TL1 fellowship for her research on human milk bioactive proteins and peptides.

Her work focuses on identifying the retention and release of these components in the gastrointestinal tracts of term and preterm infants fed with either their parents' own milk or donor milk.

This fellowship will allow Brianne to conduct research in a clinical setting and expand her understanding of neonatal intensive care, furthering her goal to improve health outcomes for vulnerable infants. Well done, Brianne!
