Congratulations to Clinical Associate Professor Erica Woekel, recipient of the inaugural CAPS 2025 Beacon of Hope Award. Selected by OSU Counseling & Psychological Services staff, student workers and volunteers, Erica was recognized as a mental health champion at OSU for her outstanding commitment to student well-being.

This award honors Erica’s impactful work integrating Kognito mental health training into the HHS 231 course.

Thanks to her efforts, more than 26,000 students have gained valuable skills to support peers in distress. Well done, Erica!
