Academic interests
My research interest is related to understand the dynamic processes of how biological, psychological, behavioral, and environmental elements interact and shape a person's life and why individuals show great individual differences in the processes of aging. I am focusing on long-term effects of personality, personal goals, emotion regulation, and health behaviors on health outcomes/mortality in later life, using longitudinal statistics including multilevel modeling, survival analysis, structural equation modeling, and dyadic daily diary analysis.
Biography
I received my doctorate degree in Human Development & Family Studies with a minor in Gerontology from Oregon State University. I am currently a research associate in the School of Human Development and Family Science at Oregon State University.
