Clinical Assistant Professor of Epidemiology
College of Public Health and Human Sciences
Oregon State University

Marit Bovbjerg's research focuses on two distinct areas of US healthcare.

First, she studies US maternity care, particularly midwifery and community birth for low-risk women. She is also interested in physical activity during pregnancy and the postpartum period, and potential effects on maternal outcomes.

Second, she studies complex chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes complicated by hypertension and heart disease), and mHealth applications to increase the quality of care for these patients.
