David was born in Fresno, Calif., before moving to Woodburn, Ore. David stayed local and attended Oregon State University for his undergraduate and graduate programs. While at OSU, he worked and volunteered with outreach programs serving underrepresented students. The work continued into his graduate assistantship as an academic counselor assisting first year students in their transition to college and supporting students toward completing their degree.
