Academic interests: 

Ashley’s research interests include sexual health and healthy sexuality, specifically sexual trauma prevention and screening, sexual health assessment and communication, and dissemination/implementation of effective sexual health interventions. Currently, Ashley is conducting research examining variations in the measurement of childhood sexual abuse and their utility in predicting relationships with adult health outcomes. She is also involved with research focused on the adoption of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and self-implemented HIV testing among African American men-who-have-sex-with-men.
