Doris Cancel-Tirado honored with OSU Community Engaged Scholarship Team Award

Associate Dean for Student Success and Well-Being Doris Cancel-Tirado will receive the OSU Community Engaged Scholarship Team Award at the 2025 OSU Engagement Conference in Corvallis on December 4.

Doris and two colleagues in the OSU College of Agricultural Science are being recognized for their service-learning study abroad program connecting OSU students with community organizations in Puerto Rico. This past spring, 24 students traveled to the island to learn more about culture, community, environmental justice and leadership.

The awards are part of OSU Extension and Engagement's OSU Engagement Awards of Excellence.
