Kinesiology alumni and faculty receive 2024 JTPE paper award
A peer-reviewed article co-authored by Oregon State kinesiology faculty and alumni received the 2024 Metzler-Freedman Exemplary Paper Award from the Journal of Teaching in Physical Education (JTPE).
The article, titled Physical Education Alternative Certification Programs: Learning Opportunities for Teacher Candidates, was led by Jaehun Jung, PhD, with co-authors Layne Case, PhD; Associate Professor Sam Logan; and JK Yun, former OSU kinesiology faculty. Jaehun and Layne both completed their doctorates in OSU’s kinesiology adapted physical activity program.
The Metzler-Freedman Award recognizes papers of exceptional significance, innovation and quality.
