Undergraduate student researchers give lightning talks

We're proud of our undergraduate student researchers, who shared what they learned as part of the Healthy Discoveries/URSA Engage Ambassador Program. These students examined such issues as the Special Olympics athlete's diet, the effect of maternal conditions on environmental toxins in human donor milk, Latinx communities and food security, lifejacket use among fishermen, prenatal microplastic exposure and more.

"The URSA Engage program is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to get early experience in research. I get excited seeing the development of critical thinking and inquiry from these students, but we also learned today that students value the opportunity to learn and practice presentation skills through the program." Assistant Professor Andy Pitchford
