Kim Rogers honored with 2024 DPO Teaching Award

Kinesiology instructor Kim Rogers, PhD, MPH, MS received the inaugural Difference, Power and Oppression Teaching Award for her work advancing equity and inclusion at the State of Diversity at OSU event in May 2024.

Kim's teaching expertise includes the psychosocial aspects of sport and exercise, and health promotion/health behavior. Her research interests include shame and self-compassion in the physical domain. In the classroom, she is committed to promoting the principles of DEI, daring leadership and psychological safety.

The DPO Program works with faculty across all fields and disciplines at Oregon State University to develop inclusive curricula that address institutionalized systems of power, privilege and inequity in the United States. Congratulations, Kim!
