Academic interests

Svea's work broadly focuses on using an equity perspective to promote public well-being among children, youth, and families. Her previous research included exploring social determinants of health among immigrant and refugee youth in the United States. She is passionate about creatively translating and disseminating research for diverse non-academic audiences, and I care deeply about working to actively increase equity and inclusivity in all settings.
