Biography

Naomi began as a high school science teacher and is passionate about accessibility and equity in all educational spaces. She started her post-secondary studies at OSU and is thrilled to be back. She earned dual degrees in Environmental Science (HBS) and International Studies (HBA) via the OSU Honors College. She has since earned her Masters of Urban Education specializing in Language and Culture from Loyola Marymount University.

She took her first yoga class at Oregon State and ultimately pursued her 200-hour registered yoga teacher training with the Yoga Alliance. She is also a certified Yoga of 12-Step Recovery facilitator, and has completed specialized training in Trauma-Informed Mindfulness with David Treleaven and Yoga and Diversity and Inclusion in Yoga with Bending Towards Justice.

Naomi has moved through her life in an otherly-abled body and approaches yoga and mindfulness from this place - encouraging adaptations of the shapes and practices. She is passionate about creating space for students to slow down and listen to what their body, mind, and spirit might be saying.
