Isabella's research focuses on the development of self-regulation in early childhood and the development and implementation of self-regulation interventions for children in preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary school. Her work also focuses on evaluating child care policies, ways to expand access to child care programs for children and families, and designing professional development supports for child care providers.
