The COH process

Together, we will make the process of identifying and remediating our digital footprint a success.

Step 1 - Identification

Don't call us, we'll call you.

Alan will make a master list of all the files linked to from College of Health web pages. He will separate those into groups by unit, create tracking dashboards and instructional videos of how to use the dashboard.

The unit dashboards will be determined based on sections of the college website. While Nutrition is a good sized unit academically, there is only one file that needs to be fixed in that unit, so a dashboard doesn't need to be made.

Step 2 - Pick your people

Each unit needs to pick one point of contact for Alan to communicate with. This person doesn't have to be the person that is performing file triage and remediation. Let Alan know who the contact person is and who the people are that need to use the dashboard. He will invite them to create an account at Notion.com using their [email protected] address, then add them to their unit's dashboard.

Step 3 - Triage

Use the digital file triage decision tree to determine if a file will be deleted, archived, updated to meet digital accessibility criteria, or be made as a webpage. Mark the unit dashboard as appropriate. Upload remediated files to the dashboard. Contact Alan if you have any questions.

Step 4 - Continue to be awesome

Creating accessible digital content isn't a one time thing. Be sure to familiarize yourself with Digital Accessibility
