What inspired or interested you about your field of study? And why did you choose OSU/the college?

I have always had a passion for helping people as well as working with children and families. Seeking a degree in human services just seemed to be the natural choice for me, and I have always been a fan of the Beavs.

I am the first person in my family to go to college, so graduating from OSU has a special meaning to my family!

Tell us about your time at Oregon State and in the college. Is there someone or something who/that helped you be successful?

While at OSU I have become really involved with the Basic Needs Center and the Global Buddies Program.

Working for the Basic Needs Center has given me a sense of community and purpose on campus and allowed me to meet so many amazing students and partner organizations.

Being part of the Global Buddies Program has allowed me to connect with many different international students and make lifelong friendships!

What are your post-college dreams/plans?

My dream job is to work in international adoption and help build and bring families together.

Anything else you'd like to add?

My advice for future students is to take advantage of all the resources OSU has to offer. Your student fees pay for a lot of these resources, so you have the availability to access them. They can be so helpful!
