What inspired or interested you about your field of study? And why did you choose OSU/the college?

My inspiration for studying kinesiology comes from my hope of becoming a physical therapist. Throughout my life, I've enjoyed doing sports and being active, which introduced me to amazing physical therapists who helped me get back to doing what I love.

Something that has always been an interest for me is being active, and helping others live healthy, fulfilling and long lives. Growing up in Oregon I always wanted to be a Beaver, and my valuable experiences at OSU have reinforced my love for working with others and has made me even more excited to pursue physical therapy.

Tell us about your time at Oregon State and in the college. Is there someone or something who/that helped you be successful?

My time at Oregon State University was fantastic. There are so many opportunities to be involved, and to gain experience which helped me learn and grow. Something that helps me be successful is changing up where I study, and I have many favorite study spots around campus. Additionally, my classmates I studied and worked with were a great support team and learning through collaboration was something I found very helpful.

What are your post-college dreams/plans?

My plan after graduation is to move to closer to Portland, and work in a physical therapy clinic during my gap year before applying to PT schools. I have found a couple schools I envision myself attending, and I hope to be accepted to one of these schools in order to fulfill my dream of becoming a physical therapist.
