The college's Community Advisory Council assists the college in planning, implementing and evaluating its instructional, research, outreach, workforce development and service activities through:

  • Assuring sensitivity to the perceptions and needs of the community
  • Informing the college of emerging trends and community and professional needs
  • Articulate the continuing education needs of the public health and human sciences workforce
  • Educating the community about the college's work
  • Serving as ad-hoc advisory groups to advise curricula and field placements and to identify community-based research opportunities for outreach and engagement
  • Ensuring program quality and organizational impact
  • Providing feedback to college administration on other issues where constituent input is critical
