This FAQ is for
Is there a pre-med, pre-nursing, or pre-health professional major?
There is more than one path to become a doctor or health care professional.
So while no, OSU doesn't offer specific majors called "pre-med," "pre-nursing," or "pre-health", you can major in anything you're interested in.
This is because professional health programs, like medical or nursing schools, don't require you to have a specific major for admission.
You should choose a major in a subject you enjoy. The most important thing is to complete the required science and math "prerequisite" courses that these professional health programs look for.
Many College of Health majors already include these required courses.
You can see which majors and courses to take at our Pre-Health Pathways page.
