Neal Halfon, M.D., M.P.H., is founding director of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Center for Healthier Children, Families and Communities, as well as professor of pediatrics, public health, and public policy at the UCLA Schools of Medicine, Public Health, and Public Policy. Dr. Halfon earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis and his master's in public health at Berkeley. He completed his pediatric residency at UC San Diego and UC San Francisco. Dr. Halfon was also a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco.
For more than two decades Dr. Halfon has been instrumental in advancing research, policy and systems innovations focused on the healthy development of children at local, national and international levels.
