Dr. Massad’s research interests and the focus of her presentation include predictors of resilience in Palestinian children exposed to war and violence and the health effects of such exposures.

Salwa Massad, PhD, is a Research Manager with the World Health Organization Palestinian National Institute of Public Health in Palestine and Adjunct Associate Research Scientist in the Institute of Human Nutrition at Columbia University.

Her role with WHO PNIPH is to carry out National research and provide training in research methods.
