The Effectiveness of Feedback and/or Practice on Penultimate Step Deceleration during Side-Step Cutting
Purpose
To evaluate the effectiveness of feedback and/or practice on penultimate step deceleration during a 90-degree cutting task
Time commitment
This research study involves a single session time commitment of ~ 1 hour and 30 minutes
To participate
To qualify for participation in this study, you must:
- Be 18-29 years of age
- Not be pregnant
- Have participated in at least 2 seasons of sport involving cutting maneuvers within the past 5 years
- Regularly participate in at least 150 minutes of physical activity per week
- Be free of any current injuries or illnesses that limit your ability to perform your regular physical activity
- Have no lower extremity or low back injuries in the previous six months that limited your regular physical activity for longer than 7 days
- Have no history of low back, hip, knee, or ankle surgery
- Have no neurological or cardiopulmonary disorders
