Hobbies, interests, etc

Encouraging movement and an appreciation for the outdoors sums up my hobbies and interests. I started a youth running club following my passion for track and field, tend a veggie garden, and find local spots to hike, climb and ski tour. When it’s rainy, you’ll find me in the kitchen or reading psychology.

Why did you choose Oregon State for your MPH?

I chose OSU because of its connections to my local and professional community, its reputation as an outstanding online university and I’ve always loved the color orange.

          What advice would you give someone thinking about getting their MPH?

Applying a public health lens to your work, passions and daily living can impact an individual or population depending on the situation. Both are equally important.

If you were to recommend the MPH to your best friend, what would you say?

Pursuing an online MPH with ties to your community while working is an incredible opportunity if you have the time and resources.
