Academic interests

The overall goal of Dr. Li’s research is to improve the cost-effectiveness of health care through interdisciplinary and patient-centric mechanisms. His research expertise focuses on implementing economic evaluation methods to advance value-based care and to inform decisions about healthcare investment. Dr.Li’s training in both clinical medicine and public health enables him to successfully initiate and foster collaborations with researchers across disciplines and with clinical providers from diverse specialties.

Biography

Tao Li received his PhD in Health Services Research and Administration at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and his MD from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China. Before joining the College of Health, he was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Department of Preventive Medicine.
